Pigalle Pigalle Duperré
Pigalle Duperré occupies a narrow lot between two Haussmann-era apartment buildings in the 9th arrondissement, a few minutes' walk from the Moulin Rouge. Before 2009 it was an abandoned car park. Stéphane Ashpool, the Paris-born founder of the Pigalle fashion label, rebuilt it with Nike that year, and the first version was painted with the artist Yué "Nyno".
Since then the court has been redesigned about five times, mostly in collaboration with the design studio Ill-Studio, each version a new composition of saturated colour blocks across the floor, the walls, and the backboards. The result is plausibly the most photographed basketball court in Europe.
It is also a working court. The neighbourhood runs are real and the space is tight, so expect half-court games and a queue on weekends. Come early if you want the photo without a crowd in it.

13th arrondissement Glacière basketball court
The Glacière court sits beneath the elevated viaduct of Métro Line 6 on Boulevard Auguste-Blanqui in the 13th arrondissement, which gives it a roof against the rain and a soundtrack of trains passing overhead every few minutes.
The court is free, open around the clock, and lit at night. The space under the viaduct is narrow, so games here are usually four on four. 66 reviews at a 4.2 average. The covered surface makes this one of the most reliable outdoor runs in Paris through the wet months.

Le Marais Sports field of St. Paul gardens
The sports ground on Rue Charlemagne in the Marais sits directly beside the longest surviving section of the wall Philippe Auguste built around Paris at the end of the twelfth century. Few courts anywhere play against a backdrop that old.
Google categorises it as a basketball court, players mention it in their reviews, and OpenStreetMap confirms courts a short walk from the pin. 104 reviews at a 4.4 average. The central location makes this the easiest run to find in the historic centre of the city.
